Great song ... I think the meaning is kind of obvious. It's about being betrayed by your love and not being able to trust them.

I think being betrayed here may not be the literal interpretation, someone cheating on your or doing something behind your back. Probably this is just because it's how I relate to it, but I feel it's more about the person not being who you thought they were after giving yourself to them in every way possible. The image they presented when you first got to know them is completely different to how they really are once you get truly close to them.
