Co-Dependent Lyrics
Most people don't care
Some people just stare
There's so much pressure that my life will feed us
Don't need a reason
I will get even
This is the season where I feel so manic
You hurt yourself and blame me when you fall
Co-Dependent
You have lost control and crashed into a wall
Co-Dependent
You're Co-Dependent
I am a bad seed
It fills my own needs
I never was scared to take my chances
I see the temple
'Cause I'm not social
I've got my own life and you can't stand it
You hurt yourself and blame me when you fall
Co-Dependent
You have lost control and crashed into a wall
Co-Dependent
Life has found a way where karma slaps you in the face
Co-Dependent
You depend on me for everything
You're Co-Dependent
Co-Dependent (x11)
You're Co-Dependent
You hurt yourself and blame me when you fall
Co-Dependent
Life has found a way where karma slaps you in the face
Co-Dependent
You depend on me for everything
You're Co-Dependent (x7)

Pretty cool song. Adema definitely improved on this album.
from the way it seems its about some one telling some one that they need to fend for there selves
It's about someone else depending on him for everything. They can't face reality on their own and are afraid of him leaving them because then they will have nothing. But they are abusive in some way and really aren't someone he wants to be around so he's basically telling them to screw off and let go. Get their own life and stop expecting him to take care of everything. Heh, sounds like my mom.
When he says "you're co-dependant", I always used to think he said "you're gonna bend it" =P I agree with your explanations btw... really cool song.
This is probably my favorite song off the Unstable cd and one of my top 5 favorites. The song is about wanting to not always rely on others and wanting to make changes by yourself
I think it's about a bad habit or addiction that someone developed out of a need for self-medication. They blame the drugs or whatever for when they fall and they expect it to make everything better when in reality it does more harm than good. I'm pretty sure your mom, or other people, don't exactly make you feel "manic." So that's why I think it's about any form of self-destructive attempt at self-medication rather than a controlling person. But then that's just my opinion. Thanks for hearin' me out :)
Perhaps, but I hear a song about blame... rather; deflection. As someone who likes to be alone; doesn't need to have sex to feel good about myself; and who has a happy family life I can still relate. I've known people who are co-dependent; my best friend had to cut most ties with her mother due to the pain her mother was bringing to her life. Interesting song.
