Feel Lyrics

What you want, what you got
Live your life in a crawlspace
I'd help you out, but
You don't want a chance at a better life
You said you never took a ride
And now you wanna play
Well, it's a big, big city
Let me show you around
Oh, sometime

And now you crossed that line
You can't come back
Tell me how does it feel now?
It's too late
Too much to forget about
Can't stop now
Tell me, how does it feel now?
I'm only asking because I wanna know
How you wanna feel

I'm a wreck
I'm a mess
I'm a spot on the pavement
I'm a number on the wall
I make your soul tired
Yeah, and I don't think I like this game no more
It goes around and 'round and 'round
I'll tell you one more time
One more time

Now you crossed that line
You can't come back
Tell me, how does it feel now?
It's too late, too much to forget about
You can't come back
Tell me, how does it feel now?
It's too late, too much to forget about
How does it feel now?
Well, I'm only asking because I wanna know
How you wanna feel

I think this song is about someone who spent his/her entire life sheltered and He brought them out into the world.

"What you want What you got Live your life in a crawlspace Help you out But you don't Want a chance at a better life You said you never took a ride And now you wanna play Well it's a big, big city Let me show you around" They spent their entire life in a "crawlspace"(sheltered) and now they want to see what it is really like

I think toward the end when he sings "I'm a wreck I'm a mess I'm a spot on the pavement I'm a number on the wall I'll make your soul tired I don't think I like this game No more"

i think he is saying he has been in the world so long that he is a bit sick of it.

So far I think you are very right on. It's about a girl who grew up sheltered and innocent and then moved to a big city. She got caught in the fast-paced, exciting, dangerous and thrilling world of the big city. She probably broke some people's hearts and made a bunch of mistakes. The crossing of the line refers to the loss of innocence. She crossed that line from sweet girl to crazy party girl and now she can't come back. She can never look at herself in the mirror the same way again...

I think the songs about cocaine to be honest.

You said you never took a ride And now you wanna play Well, it's a big, big city Let me show you around

I think this is about Rob introducing someone to cocaine who had never done it before. He's gonna show them what it's all about.

And now you crossed that line You can't come back Tell me how does it feel now? It's too late Too much to forget about Can't stop now Tell me, how does it feel now? I'm only asking because I wanna know How you wanna feel

Now hes saying that the person tried it and he wants to know what they thought of it. "and now you crossed that line, you can't come back" i think that's about the person who tried it, and they loved it. "cant stop now, how does it feel now" is like him saying "now do you see why i do coke? its great"

I'm a wreck I'm a mess I'm a spot on the pavement I'm a number on the wall I make your soul tired Yeah, and I don't think I like this game no more It goes around and 'round and 'round I'll tell you one more time One more time

I think this is him realizing he's addicted and explaining what it was doing to his life. "ill tell you one more time, one more time" is him saying well... i might as well do it one more time.

I think it's about a failed relationship where something went wrong really quickly

"And now You crossed that line You can't come back Tell m e how does it feel now Too late Too much to forget about Can't stop now Tell me how does it feel now I'm only asking Because I wanna know How you wanna feel "

Rob Thomas is amazing

its about a person who was there for a friend, but the friend abused it and took it for granted and the person isn't there anymore. now the friend wants to come back, but the person won't let them in anymore cause the friend screwed it up.

I love this song, it's a great opening for More Than You Think You Are, but I couldn't tell exactly its meaning, I guess only Rob, Paul and Kyle know if it was for a former friend, or girlfriend. To me it could be about betrayal by any of them. The line "I'm only asking because I wanna know...how you wanna feel" kind of puzzles me, because he doesn't want to be involved with the person anymore, but that line sounds like an invitation?. When I listen to this song it makes me feel about a very important friend I used to have, and how we messed it up by sleeping together, and how he let me down with his behaviour afterwards. So, some lines really fit into my regretful, kind of angry and bittersweet mood: "And now you've crossed that line, you can't go back tell me how does it feel now? It's too late, too much to forget about..."

Shes screwed him 'round and hes saying it's too late... It's over. Sweet n simple. Good song. Very good song indeed.

I think he was just really pissed off when he wrote this, so he's just kind of saying "ok i've had enough i don't need you screwing up my life... get the hell out of it" just basically kicking this person out of his life really quickly

The backing vocals in this song are amazing.

It's about a girl who grew up sheltered and innocent and then moved to a big city. She got caught up in the fast-paced, exciting, dangerous and thrilling world of the big city. She probably broke some people's hearts and made a bunch of mistakes. The crossing of the line refers to the loss of innocence. She crossed that line from sweet girl to crazy party girl and now she can't come back. She can never look at herself in the mirror the same way again because she is no longer that sweet innocent girl who wouldn't harm a fly. While she cannot come back entirely, the question is how does she want to feel? She can let go of her wild and crazy ways and feel like a sweet, loving girl again if she wants to feel that way. Or she can continue to live the fast-paced crazy wild life and feel like a badass.
