Til I Get Over You Lyrics

Everytime I feel alone
I can blame it on you
And I do - oh
You got me like a loaded gun
Golden sun, and a sky so blue

we both know that we want it
but we both know you left me no choice
You just bring me down
So I'm counting the tears
Till I get over you

Sometimes I watch the world get by
I wonder what it's like
To wake up every single day
Smile on your face
You never try

We both know
We can't change it
But we both know
We'll just have to face it

You just bring me down
So I'm counting the tears
Till I get over you

if only I could give you up
but would I want to let you off this soapbox baby?"

we both know that we want it
but we both know you left me no choice
You just bring me down

So I'm counting the tears
Till I get over you

I love the sigh at the end; it's the perfect finishing touch to such a sad song.

This is a nearly perfect breakup song. My only complaint is that the French is so terribly annunciated. I didn't know it was French until I read the booklet. I thought she was singing 'Shut the f^@k up dude, or die.' Which still amuses me to no end....

This is probably my favorite song on the album save for Are You Happy Now, and again it just shows how much she's matured since her last album. She is not the little girl that she was; she's grown up. Still, though, she can't get over this guy. There are a couple of lines in French in the chorus which are "chaque fols que tu ton va, le pretend que tu fais bien", It means "every time ou walk away, I pretend that I'm okay"

you got the the lyrics wrong in a few spots... the second stanza is "we both know that we want it / but we both know you left me no choice" the seventh stanza is "if only I could give you up / but would I want to let you off this soapbox baby?" and then, "we both know that we want it / but we both know you left me no choice"

This is a nice song. This CD is definitely more mature than her last one. I just wanted to point out that the French is incorrect. It should be "Chaque fois que tu t'en vas, je pretend que tu vas bien" That's actually what she's singing. The booklet is wrong! :P (Sorry, I'm a French dork)

You left the french out. But yeah, I love this song. "Sometimes I watch the world go by, and wonder what it's like, to wake up every single day, smile on your face, you never tried" I always wonder what its like to wake up smiling everyday. I see people that are always happy, and I never am, it makes me so jealous. Great song.
