Fred Hampton was the leader of the Black Panther Party. I guess the first line talks about what music really means and how it temporarily separates us from our troubles.The rest of the song is pretty confusing but obviously "Loss Leaders" is a reference to Fred Hampton and how he was assassinated, something the last line talks about. I don't completely understand the chorus
