i think its funny how no one has responded to this song. anyone can see that its an awesome song. since i know further seems forevers backround i know what it means. it portrays the weakness and strength for so many people. it depicts ones faith and faith being the oxymoron it is. this song is great and well played just like all of there songs.

i agree with small town poet and a part that really points that out to me is "i am rejection, i am redemption"

"I am forever, but I could be never if thats what you want" this line is beautiful. much like this whole song. further seems forever = genius.

I agree with everyone here. A few of the many parts that I belive really makes it obvious this is about faith. "I am one step closer for you." and "I am for ever, I could be never if thats what you want." That is exactly what faith is. It could be something you can hold onto forever or by free will you can decide to have no part of it.

it isnt religious faith though... this song has a classic fsf sound. i love it...i could sit around and listen to this and new years project all fucking day. fsf=<3

Ok, so THIS song. Jason wrote again (most of the stuff on HTSAF is religiously connected) I think the song is Jesus Christ himself talking to someone, or people. Or just in general. Saying that he basically IS everything. "you could pretend to be, but you will kill me when you're through." We know he was killed. It can be about faith like everyone else said. But maybe its through Jesus Christs POV. Or what thinks about faith? "I am the oasis, the strength, the weakness for arguments sake" That line is like my favorite.. He'll be the weakness for arguments sake. Like 'i'd rather lose this battle, to not argue' Thats being the bigger person. This song = hotness.

I love the apparent contradictions that Jason lists. It fits well with the CS Lewis' notion that God is where contradictions collide. Rejection - Redemption Desert - Oasis Forever - never

It does fall on the border of process theology where God exists within time and changes. However, we can give Jason the benefit of the doubt in terms of what he meant.
