this song has an awesome guitar during the chorus. it's a great album opener, short and angry.

i think its all about something nice or beautiful liek a family or a dad, that can seem so great, but make things so bad, like a dad coming home with lipstick on his collar, and/or drunk hitting the mother...most of their songs are about broken hearts. but hell man, thats emo!
yeah id say its about a family being torn apart by addictions in general, whether sex, alcohol, drugs, or a number of other things, the song kinda talks about each of them

" (i would say that could be a sex addiction) actually now that i think about it it could be about somebody trying to fill up their lives with the wrong things, moving from alcohol to drugs to sex, and the nightmare is neverending

"Broken hearts left at her door", sounds kinda like that's more to do with heartbreak and a careless girl, the rest of it is pretty strange, but "A kiss turns to brandy" COULD mean that he'll get no more kisses so he'll drink instead though, also "On the rocks father spills memories of mothers eyes" sounds like the mom possibly died? And the father maybe mourning, that would make more sense of the kiss turns to brandy bit...
