It sounds like it's about two people in a relationship where one wants the other, but the other says that they aren't their friend. The first person says that rage will fight their problems ("the demons in my head") to themselves. They tell the other person says that rage is necessary to fight the demons in the other person's head. It's basically a relationship based on rage because they think that rage will help them battle their inner demons that are living in their heads.
