Special Cases Lyrics
Don’t tell your man what he don’t do right
Nor tell him all the things that make you cry
But check yourself for your own shit
And don’t be making out like it’s all his
Take a look around the world
You see such bad things happening
There are many good men
Ask yourself is he one of them
The deadliest of sin is pride
Make you feel like you’re always right
But they’re always two sides
It takes two to make love, two to make a life
Take a look around the world
You see such mad things happening
There are few good men
Thank your lucky star that he’s one of them
Nor tell him all the things that make you cry
But check yourself for your own shit
And don’t be making out like it’s all his
You see such bad things happening
There are many good men
Ask yourself is he one of them
Make you feel like you’re always right
But they’re always two sides
It takes two to make love, two to make a life
You see such mad things happening
There are few good men
Thank your lucky star that he’s one of them

Where the hell did you get the impression she says "Dirt"? That dosnt even make sense! Secondly where in the hell did you get that line about they're always to the sides?? what does that mean, she sings about how pride always makes you feel always right but there is always 2 sides to everything
someone please correct these lyrics! ahhhhhhhh
Great song, needs no explination becuase its quite obvious what its about.
This is the song that intentionally made me appreciate their music. The video did a lot to help that b/c it was so wierd, almost like an informatial for a multinational. Wether you like her or not, Sinaed O'Conner has the most brilliant voice too.
I can't possibly be the only person who thinks this song's lyrics are satirical, surely... 1.) It's Sinead O'Connor - of "No man's woman fame..." 2.) The lyrics seem to be mocking those people who tell women (especially) who are in abusive relationships to shut up and put up - "don't tell him all the things that make you cry". 3.)The lyrics seem to paint the irony of pointing out that there are so many "mad things happening" and wondering at how many evil men(especially) there are out there to someone who probably knows all this first hand...
Thank you Stockholm Syndrome for providing the real lyrics. What was the original poster thinking $$&? The videos to this song are great. They did two versions. The most commonly-played is from the guy's point of view but there is a rarer one from the French girl. V Original and disturbing.
"It takes dirt to make love dirt to make a life "
This is from an quote from somewhere, I can't remember where tho. That might be why ruben thought it was that.
its more likely "dont tell your man what you don't do right" "check yourself for your own shame" (possibly shit, but it would definately sound stupid to sustain that word as she does) "And don’t be making out like it’s all his" its DEFINATELY "Two sides"- it sounds like to the because of her irish accent, and then its "two to make love" etc, TRUST ME
Always found this an odd choice of single to release, but I really love the song.
A great antidote to all the "He Did Me Wrong" songs that get pumped out because they tell women what they want to hear.
