This song I think is meant to steer someone that is sad away from those feelings, by telling them to remember the good times. Not to let everything you feel inside control your whole life.

i think billco's lyrics are more accurate. but either way, this is a great song! first one i heard by finger eleven, and it wasn't even on purpose. my brother produces music videos and i was looking through his reel when i came across this one. . . i was hooked instantly :)

I think what he sees in the trash is the answer he was looking for. He had passed over it and discarded it (thrown it in the trash) and upon closer inspection, it was what he was looking for all along.
yeah i heard it on SSX 3 too and its the only one on my playlist except play it loud and rockstar ha. uhh...except i dont know what it means...
