I think this could be about a man trying to get in touch with God or anything out there that would listen to him 'I was trying to make some sense speaking to you' Maybe saying God is losing his touch with the world because nowadays its so packed with violance and no one cares about each other like people used to a few decades ago. 'All around you there's a feeling you lost That everything beautiful is not what it was Whenever you were on top of all you left up there ' Or maybe he's suffering from a mental breakdown or something thats made him upset or angry 'when I crash at the landing' or maybe hes a loner and a social outsider 'I'll bury myself into the corner' i'm not too sure!

verse 1
someone fucked up a really good relationship because he/she couldn't see the beauty that it truly made, and the really regret it, and in the process of fucking everything up they see what could have been and realize how much they not only hurt the person they lost, but themselves as well. that's verse one.
chorus
is saying how that even though they're apart they realize that they are both trying to move on from what they left behind, and they both realize it effected them in a major way, to the point where they had to work on who they were inside and change themselves to let go of each other.

this time they both feel they've lost something profound, close, and beautiful, and there's a feeling of regret or sorrow that they hold for walking away, or for not trying hard enough, besides that they both feel that where they ended up was a place where everyone's opinion on the matter different, and that the realization it was over was over bearing and that people talking about it so much was too much and disheartening
