City Beneath Lyrics

The city beneath that passes by, that's sitting on the top of the world
Is the victim to whatever we do
Everywhere we turn away to find another reason to never return
As were passing through the city we view

Way down (x4)
They wake you
They sit in the street and wave at you
The city beneath
And they're the same as I'm the same as you

Everywhere I look the people stare in the direction that they're headed for
In herds that they move through streets under you
If they ever find a way to exist without pushing themselves to war
Until all that they lose can't even be used

Way down (x4)
They wake you
They sit in the street and wave at you
The city beneath
And they're the same as I'm the same as you

Wow, I love this song! The melody is just so perfect, it's amazing. I think it's about seeing all the people who worship you treating you like, well, a god, and going on to ignore the "normal" people. Bad explanation. Okay-- I think it's about being in a tour bus or something, and watching all these people wave at your bus and treat you special when really you're just another person. Then they go on to treat the people just like them like they're nothing. They ignore them. And every time you see this happening, you get so discusted that you just want to leave and never come back.

Eeerrph it's okay, I guess. I love the song so much, though.

This is another great song by Revis, to bad they disbanded. Anyways, I feel as thought the song is about someone who thinks they are better then everyone else and is knocked down from whatever status they currently are and don't know what to do because now they are with all of the people they once thought under them.
