Your Wall Lyrics

You've got a way of watching the world divide you into place.
Direction is lost in flight.
Everyone is gone, let it slip away
Look at you at the end of it
The moment arise and takes you farther inside

In through your wall again
That covers you once you're in
In through your wall again
Until you can reach the end

I can see through when communication is gone
The pieces of you fall down from the could you were on
Now everyone is gone, let it slip away
Look at you now, you're at the end.
This moment arises and takes you further inside

In through your wall again
That covers you once you're in
In through your wall again
Until you can reach the end

Empty your head and the rest will come
I missed you then the moment was gone
Look at you now
This moment arises and it takes you further inside
Lost your place but no one can tell that you're sick of losing yourself.

In through your wall again
That covers you once you're in
In through your wall again
Until you can reach the end

I think this song is about someone who runs from every problem they have. They know running can't help them but they can't stop doing it.

I agree sort of. I think it is more or less like the person is running from everyone that can help them. Like they put up a wall that bars all communication. Great song.

I believe the song is about some person who watches the things around them and puts in some kind of barrier until it's over or to stop them from being involved somehow.

It sounds like the lead singer was reminiscing of a past relationship with an emotionally distant person. Reading between the lines, it sounds like the relationship ended because he/she couldn't just let their emotional walls down enough to be loved, and the frontman had enough and left, implied by the line "I missed you but then the moment was gone". This suggests that, while it was very painful to leave, it had to be done.

The line "now everyone is gone, let it slip away", seems to imply that a part of the frontman may have felt guilty about leaving because this person had alienated everyone he/she loved, but reminded himself that it is his/her problem, not the frontman's, and in the end, his mental health was more important. The song also seems to imply that he's run into this person, years after the fact, and found nothing's changed.
