Down Lyrics
We're falling
Throughout eternity
The clock is ticking
And you're still counting sheep
You're still half asleep
There's no one coming (there's no one coming)
And there's no way out (and there's no way out)
I've been falling (well I've been falling)
And it's so far down
Shrouded
Beneath the vail of tragedy
When death comes calling
Who will you believe?
Tell me who will you believe?
When it's down to you and me
Will you still stay on your knees?
(When it's down to you and me)
There's no one coming (there's no one coming)
And there's no way out (and there's no way out)
I've been falling (well I've been falling)
And it's so far down (and it's so far down)
There's no one coming (there's no one coming)
And there's no way out
There's no way out (way out)
Pushing me down, breaking me down
There's always something
Pushing me down, breaking me down
Pushing me down, breaking me down
There's always something
Pushing me down, breaking me down
Pushing me down, breaking me down
There's always something
Pushing me down, breaking me down
Pushing you down, breaking you down
There's always something
Pushing you back, pushing you back
I'm pushing you back, I'm pushing you back
I'm pushing you back, I'm pushing you back
I'm pushing you back, I'm pushing you back
There's no one coming
And there's no way out
Well I've been falling
And it's a long way down
Down
Throughout eternity
The clock is ticking
And you're still counting sheep
You're still half asleep
And there's no way out (and there's no way out)
I've been falling (well I've been falling)
And it's so far down
Beneath the vail of tragedy
When death comes calling
Who will you believe?
Tell me who will you believe?
When it's down to you and me
Will you still stay on your knees?
(When it's down to you and me)
And there's no way out (and there's no way out)
I've been falling (well I've been falling)
And it's so far down (and it's so far down)
And there's no way out
There's always something
Pushing me down, breaking me down
Pushing me down, breaking me down
There's always something
Pushing me down, breaking me down
Pushing me down, breaking me down
There's always something
Pushing me down, breaking me down
Pushing you down, breaking you down
There's always something
Pushing you back, pushing you back
I'm pushing you back, I'm pushing you back
I'm pushing you back, I'm pushing you back
And there's no way out
Well I've been falling
And it's a long way down

fuckin wicked song... to me it means that life is always getting you down, and your always alone... depressing heavy shit, i love it
This is a tight song, it's about how we go through life constantly facing some sort of damn problem and your always get fucked over by someone or something or in some way, it's basicly about the fucked up reality of all the shit we go through in life. -Sad but True- Good song though
My favorit song from Motograter.. It starts out more soft and ends up in madness .. I really enjoy that :D
I feel this is a song about how hopeless and depraved you can feel when you've accepted that that there may not be a god and that life in this world and the pain we experience might be completely meaningless. It can feel like, "Were falling throughout eternity."
When you watch everyone else around you wasting time praising and worshiping an imaginary god you might say, "The clock is ticking, and you're still counting sheep; You're still half asleep."
"There's no one coming, and there's no way out."--There is no god coming to redeem and save us.
"I've been falling, and it's so far down."--A nihilistic reference to the feelings of hopelessness and depravity.
When life feels meaningless, it can feel like, "There's always something pushing me down, breaking me down," which circles around and contributes more to the feelings of hopelessness and depravity.
However, once a nihilist realizes that the only meaningful goal in life is the fight for survival, he might say, "I'm pushing you back."
