This is such a wonderfully hopeful song. I think it's also very spiritual, ("Outside your door He is waiting, waiting for you... Let it all go and you'll know you're on the right track") is obviously talking about how you may feel your life is empty, but then you surrender yourself to God, which fills that void. "Cause there's something on the way, your tomorrow's not the same as today." Listening to this song gives me so much optimism about the future.

WYWH probably has something on that. I believe this song was written shortly after Livgren became a believer in Jesus. I think he always tried to write songs from the heart rather than trying to write what people wanted to hear.
Not many people have commented on Kansas's lyrics. This is a good song. I think it's pretty much self-explanitory. Hold On says a lot about it! ha... love it
This song is a spiritual plea to Livgren's wife, begging her to convert to Christianity along with him.
