Rapid Hope Loss Lyrics
You called to say you wanted out
Well I can't say I blame you now
Sometimes you've got to fold before you're found out
Well thanks for waiting this long
To show yourself, yourself
Cause now that I can see you
I don't think you're worth a second glance
So much for all the promises you made
They served you well
And now you're gone and they're wasted on me
So much for your endearing sense of charm
It served you well
And now it's gone and you're wasted on me
You called to say you wanted out
Well I can't say I blame you now
Sometimes you've got to fold before you're found out
Well thanks, thanks for waiting this long
To show yourself, show yourself
Cause now that I can see you
I don't think you're worth a second glance
So much for all the promises you made
They served you well
And now you're gone and they're wasted on me
So much for your endearing sense of charm
It served you well
And now it's gone and you're wasted on me
I guess that all you've got is all you're gonna get
So much for... So much more
I guess that all you've got is all you're gonna get
So much for... So much more
Do what you must if that's what you wish
I can't be a party to this
If you had the sense that you were born with
You'd find a way to make things right
I guess that all you've got is all you're gonna get
So much for... So much more
Well I can't say I blame you now
Sometimes you've got to fold before you're found out
Well thanks for waiting this long
To show yourself, yourself
Cause now that I can see you
I don't think you're worth a second glance
They served you well
And now you're gone and they're wasted on me
So much for your endearing sense of charm
It served you well
And now it's gone and you're wasted on me
Well I can't say I blame you now
Sometimes you've got to fold before you're found out
Well thanks, thanks for waiting this long
To show yourself, show yourself
Cause now that I can see you
I don't think you're worth a second glance
They served you well
And now you're gone and they're wasted on me
So much for your endearing sense of charm

And now it's gone and you're wasted on me
So much for... So much more

So much for... So much more

Good song in my opinion. The song is kinda 'in-your-face, you-suck' type thing
bitter song... realizing you dont need someone anymore because they're more of a problem than a solution...
"Do what you must if that's what you wish I can't be a party to this If you have the sense that you were born with You'll find a way to make things right"
that what I got out of the unclear verse
oh and
"You've come to say you want it all"
should be:
"You called to say you wanted out"
in both cases in the song.
This song is okay, but cant ya'll tell that he has a new sound to his songs! It didnt seem to have as much feeling, its like hes trying to fit in now and reform with all the other Alternative music.
i love this song. i like the new DC stuff just as much as the old actually
I agree that the older dashboard had a unique sound to it, and the new dashboard is just like so many other bands. It's not bad, just no longer a single voice screaming behind his guitar (and I do miss it). But anyway, this is probably my favorite song off the new record. I always heard the lyrics as "so much for so much more...", which even if false, twists my heart oh so much more.
i thought it was "sometimes you've got to fold before you're found out" as in a reference to poker
I really like this song and the way its so honest.... it is about all relationships that end with a break-up where one person is confused and wants out while the other person is still completely in love, but are trying to be understanding and are in denial of their true sadness of the situation! I've been there so that's why i like the song so much lol
this song is about losing hope... fast.
yeah these lyrics are wrong on many levels, whoever posted them. The actual lyrics are "so much for so much more." and it is "sometimes you've got to fold before you're found out", along with "You've called to say you wanted out." hooray to screwin up lyrics. great song, good song to listen to when ur pissed at the significant other ;)
