Whoops, I OD'd Lyrics
Whoops I OD'd, shortness of breath, call ambulance, tell my wife i love her
error in judgement cut my life, no second chance,no guiding light
i never meant to cause you pain
i never thought i'd be the one who took the fall
i got lost in the moment, assholes like to test the limit
six minutes down, breathing machine, brain not feel right
the look on you is killing me, drowning in shame
but don't feel bad, cuz i never feard consequences
hate regrets more than apologies
a year has passed, like photographs, my life is just
a scrapbook of old friends and faded memories
looks like i pulled the rub out from under myself
the falls too much for me to recover from
it's been real fun but now i must say goodbye, I'll see you all at Okie Dogs
error in judgement cut my life, no second chance,no guiding light
i never meant to cause you pain
i never thought i'd be the one who took the fall
i got lost in the moment, assholes like to test the limit
the look on you is killing me, drowning in shame
but don't feel bad, cuz i never feard consequences
hate regrets more than apologies
a scrapbook of old friends and faded memories
looks like i pulled the rub out from under myself
the falls too much for me to recover from

You know, this could just be a clever joke. OD'd meaning ate some fuckin' ace food at Okie Dogs, overreacted, and the song is how he felt after his delicious meal.
i love the acousticness ( is that a word) of this song but yeah its kina depressing about dying and stuff wierd but i do like the line a year has passed, like photographs, my life is just a scrapbook of old friends and faded memories
Okie Dog! Was (think its gone now, pretty recently) a hot dog place on Fairfax near Santa Monica Blvd. Was a famous hangout for LA Punks etc. Guess the name was Smokie Dog and the sign kinda wore out so all that you could read was Okie Dog (then they just changed it to Okie Dog officially). I used to drive by it all the time going to work. Its also real close to where they went to high school (fairfax high). Also, at the end of the "Heard they suck Live" album Mike goes "see you all at Okie Dogs!"
Actually, this song is about Darby Crash, lead singer for the Germs (or so my brother says). Darby Crash and the Germs hung out at Okie Dogs after every show... and after the last Germs show, with the original band, he said to his band members "I'll see you all at Okie Dogs." Instead, Darby went into the alley behind Okie Dogs, od'd on heroine, and wrote on the wall with duct tape "here lies the body of Darby Crash" and died.
I'm not sure why, but I really love this song.. well everything up to the last lines... 'see you at all Okie Dogs' but that's only cause I never heard of it until a few people explained.
Maybe it's just me, but I think it's kinda cool that the acronym for Okie Dogs is OD.
@andthetruthcomesout i will admit that since the original name of the restaraunt was Smokie Dogs, i never put two and two together (Okie Dogs = OD)

When you die from an OD you arent thinking you'll die, you're just having fun. When death comes and hits you in the face its not really any ones fault. Seeing someone recoil in horror at what you are when you come back different is purely their pain. He's saying don't feel bad, I'd rather own up to what I've become than leave both of us in regret, and dont you remember that even before this I never cared much about this happening to me? A year after everyone leaves, he realizes that what he did, he did to himself. He says don't worry, I'll be that person again but I still am me. The time spent together was good, but he's going his own way now that they left him. fully understanding the thought that was going through their minds when they gave that look, he takes his own life permanently, unable to deal with the divide, he ends it, in his own way, unable to covey the thoughts to others that would ease their pain, as they were unable to ease his.
I've heard this from somebody when I was a punk teenager in Argentina with not that much internet: The song is about the suicide of The Germs singer Darby Crash. Today I told it to my BF and, inmediately after, I sarted wandering if it was actually true since i've never checked that. I found nothing on the web but this: "(okie dogs) It's this hotdog place in L.A. where punkers used to go after shows, and "see you all at okie dogs" is the last thing darby crash said to the crowd at his last show"
So I suppose that teenage punk forum gibberish was true!
well whoever wrote this has the lyrics wrong 'tell me life bye' and 'error in judge, may cut my life' and 'i pulled the "rug" out from under myslef'
