Last call now I'm outta time
And I don't got no valentine
Singled out, now I stand alone
The underdog in a modern world

Suburbia is hot tonight
But nothing seems to feel alright
I don't want your sympathy
I just need a little therapy
At least that's what they say to me

Hey ho let's go
I'm gonna start a riot
You don't want to fight it
One two f*** you

Don't tell me what to do
I don't want to be like you
Can't you see it's killing me
I'm my own worst enemy

Knock me down I'll keep on moving
It's the art of losing

Fit the mold and do what you're told
Get a job and start growing old
9 to 5 can make your dreams come true
But I don't want to be like you

I'm not cool and I'll never be
I break the rules and I guarantee
I don't want your sympathy
I just need a little therapy
At least that's what they say to me

Hey ho let's go
I'm gonna start a riot
You don't want to fight it
One two f*** you

Don't tell me what to do
I don't want to be like you
Can't you see it's killing me
I'm my own worst enemy

Knock me down I'll keep on moving
It's the art of losing

You call me a loser
Say I'm just a user
But I'll just keep on moving
Cause that's the art of losing

Hey ho let's go
I'm gonna start a riot
You don't want to fight it
One two f*** you

Don't tell me what to do
I don't want to be like you
Can't you see it's killing me
I'm my own worst enemy

Knock me down I'll keep on moving
It's the art of losing

Wahhhooo (It's the art of losing)
Wahhhooo (It's the art of losing)

We're the kids
We're the kids
We're the kids in America

We're the kids
We're the kids
We're the kids in America

I really like this song, I think this band got better, and his voice seriously changed. Good song

I love the energy of this song. My sis just got her trampoline put together and this is the perfect song to jump up and down to while yelling the lyrics! Also, pretty annoying to the neighbors ;)

Oh, forgot to mention, I love the "Suburbia is hot tonight" line, it is so funny.

Anyone else notice the song references scattered throughout this song? Kids in America, My Own Worst Enemy, Hey Ho Let's Go (Wanna Be Sedated)...just a note...I don't have any ideas about it (unlike Jimmy Eat World's - A Praise Chorus).

And how about that drum beat at the beginning of the song? It was a recreation of the drum beat in Ant Music.

yeah all the references are right except the "hey ho lets go" is Blitzkrieg Bop, not I Wanna Be Sedated

I love this song so freaking much. I think the lyrics are kind of obvious, its about how if you do something to this kid, then he'll 'keep on movin' because thats just what happens when u lose (That's the art of losing)

Oh, and my favorite quote in the whole world is from this song; "1,2, Fuck you, Don't tell me what to do, cuz I don't wanna be like you."

I think this song is kind ov a tribute to all of the guys favourite songs of their childhood and my interpretation of the meaning is that even tho u can rememba and enjoy the past that win or lose u just need to keep on going
