Radio #2 (2003) Lyrics
Meet me at midnight
At the broadcast tower
High above the hollywood sign
You bring your guitar and I'll bring my radio (radio)
Everyone will come from miles around
To witness this beautiful site
We'll set bonfires and pretend its the 4th of July
This is the starting of a brand new revolution
Bite the hand that feeds
Stand up and fight against messages that they're sending
Stop their frequency
You're always talkin' (its never ending)
It's about time that we turned off the radio
Call the request lines and tell them that it's over
You're always playin' all of the same songs
Over and over again
It's about time that we all turned off the radio
We'll listen to b-sides and sing along
To anthems of the years gone by
Integrity and honesty will prevail tonight
When it's all over (when it's all over)
One question still remains
Why do so many bands never make it to the radio?
[chorus]
Look outside your FM dial
They're preaching lies in 4/4 time
A generation without a voice
It's stripped of pride
At the broadcast tower
High above the hollywood sign
You bring your guitar and I'll bring my radio (radio)
To witness this beautiful site
We'll set bonfires and pretend its the 4th of July
Bite the hand that feeds
Stand up and fight against messages that they're sending
Stop their frequency
It's about time that we turned off the radio
Call the request lines and tell them that it's over
You're always playin' all of the same songs
Over and over again
It's about time that we all turned off the radio
To anthems of the years gone by
Integrity and honesty will prevail tonight
When it's all over (when it's all over)
One question still remains
Why do so many bands never make it to the radio?
They're preaching lies in 4/4 time
A generation without a voice
It's stripped of pride

once again this was already posted. don't post lyrics that are already here!
oofus if you actually read the lyrics then you would know that this is the updated version which appears on thier new album.
It's kind of Ironic that this song is on their album with a single on MTV :-/ Go figure...
I don't know if I am the only one, but it sounds like Mike Herrera (MxPx) is singing in the background vocals. I didn't know if it was really him in this song though.
Im not sure if hes singing along with kris or what? Hm!? But this song is super rad...both times :)
i like the other version better, this sounds more clean and organized (which is a BAD thing) because of the palming effect in the beginning and i think this ones slower. too bad their mainstream now tho. good job ataris, you're on the radio.
Yea, I think the other version sounds more like the mood of this song... turn off your radio small venue type, instead of big studio... also it's silly that they changed "explosives" to "guitar" is there any specific PC issue that would have caused them to changed it? please don't say it was 9/11... please...
Yeah, I also thought it's Mike Herrera on the backing vocals in the (its never ending) parts..
gr8 song good to makeyou happy xxx
