Introduce Yourself Lyrics
From the day I was born,
I took the bull by the horn
And gave you plenty to scorn,
Well right on!
They said in a song
That life was gettin' real tough,
But hey I think that you're bluffing,
What of it?
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Billy!
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Roddy!
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Mikey!
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Jim!
Now two decades gone by
And I know that's a long time,
Para tiempo means nada nunca.
Cause I'm still the same asshole
And I still wet my pants
Everytime time that I see your face
(Who are you?)
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Hey Mr. Biggs, hey Mr. Bestall, hey Mr. Warner what' up
Hey Mr. Enigma, hey Mr. Bigtime, hey Mr. Epic, what's going on?
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Introduce yourself (right on!)
Introduce yourself (right on!)
I took the bull by the horn
And gave you plenty to scorn,
Well right on!
They said in a song

this song to me, its definitely about reuniting with people you havent seen in ages, and its like you have to reintroduce yourself to people who you havent seen in f$%kin ages, because everyone feels inadequate like they dont know eachother, but the song is saying, i havent changed since the day i was born, im still the same asshole etc... also notes that hes still scared or fears the same people he used to, im thinking it implies highschool reunions because of the use of "Mr." .. .basically, youve come back to a highschool reunion, everyone thinks shit has changed but really, no one has, get over the inadequate feelings and introduce yourself RIGHT ON!
this song always reminded me of a chatroom thing like IRC
this song is really weird... when i hear it i picture a buncha people getting together for a meeting...
Introduce Yourself would've been such a great song, and album for that matter, with Patton's vocals.
I'm very well aware of that, mister, and that's why I said that the album WOULD be great IF Patton was on it. Get the pic?

Anyone else notice that the last verse "Mr Epic, Mr Enigma, Mr Warner" are all record labels.
So, you probably aren’t going to believe what I have to say, but I’m convinced my dad is part of the reason this song was written. In the 80s, my dad lived in Tucson, and one summer, when he was 19, he hung out with a group of other “dashing bold adventurers” (crazy young people). This group included Roddy Bottum, the keyboardist of FNM, among others. One night they were hanging out on a mountain road, socializing and messing around, when a truck pulled up. “This is private property.” The man said, “Introduce Yourself” Silence. “Jeff, 19!” My Dad said. “Kim, 19!” His friend said. Everyone in the group followed suit, then they got kicked off that land. Three months later, the album and song “Introduce Yourself” came out. My dad hasn’t talked to Roddy since that summer. You probably think this is bullshit, but I don’t.
Guy posting above me, Patton's not on this song. The singer around this time is Chuck Mosely, and "Mikey" is Mike Bordin, the drummer of FNM.
This song is ridiculous. My favorite part is after the first "Woaah" at the end. "Woah woah ahhhh " Hahaha.
