once upon a time there was a boy who met a girl that filled his life with joy. when they met her life seemed so complete but now she's out there wandering the streets. he didn't let her go, she ran away. he just hopes that she'll be back someday. an empty pond, a broken heart or two, all he's got left now are thoughts of you. she said she don't know what to do, all she knows is that she's done with you. you say you won't leave here alone, so leave here waiting by the phone. she said her heart is filled with doubt, she's gotta figure it out what it's all about. but when she runs away, will you be waiting open armed? now that all this shit is said and done she's realizing he's the only one. she thought that she'd just turn and walk away, she never dreamed that she would want to stay. she's started to think this was a poor choice, she's longing for the sound of his voice. so many things that she would never say, now she's wishing there was another way. she said she can't keep up because she can't keep all this shit bottled up. she said she won't come 'round no more because you know she's just a whore.
