Angel's Punishment Lyrics
Destruction
War
To fight in defence
Forgotten words
of friendly hate
war - destruction
war - destruction
I don't know why
A soul deceased
A broken hope
A choking breeze
war - destruction
war - destruction
Can't you take me away from your lies?
Destruction
Dark paradise
Collecting souls
To analize
war - destruction
war - destruction
The bitter blood
of a children's cry
inside the truth
far from my sky
war - destruction
war - destruction
Can't you take me away from your lies?
Forgotten words
of friendly hate
war - destruction
A soul deceased
A broken hope
A choking breeze
war - destruction
Collecting souls
To analize
war - destruction
of a children's cry
inside the truth
far from my sky
war - destruction

It is a beautiful song but what else do you expect from Lacuna Coil.
I took it as wars based on lies. Something that is very common in this world.
America invading Iraq clear message
This is an obvious song about war. Who is to say what the war is though? We each fight wars everyday. We fight, and we seem to always find justification for our battles. What if we were justified based on lies?
@acetica This song predates the war you're talking about.

… not much to say… …just that is awesome… …so beautiful…
Its a kickass song I have to go with Fentoozler it seems to be about suffering and punishment
I take it to mean something along the lines of defending yourself for so long you aren't even sure what against anymore. It also has to do with how this destroys the people around you, people who shouldn't be involved in the first place. Beautiful song, odd at first but it becomes addictive. As with most Lacuna Coil songs.
acetica, you really have a wonderful opinion and listen to good music...i'll have to e-mail you sometime...and i agree with your opinion on this song.
this song sound good as hell. cristina as a good ass vioce
Yes I have to agree with acetica, but I think that they are saying religion is also used to justify wars. Hence the title. Is war ever truly justifiable though? I believe its unavoidable at times, but people should never decieve themselves into thinking that justice was served.
