well, whenever i hear the first line, i think of the first girl i loved, she was a Sagittarius ("Fire" sign) and she was hot, but she killed me emotionally. And pretty much Shaun is talking about how is eaten alive by his feelings for a girl that makes him whole, but then takes away constantly. "I suffer when i dream" in all honestly, we are only truly free in our dreams, and since he saw himself with this girl in his dreams, it hurt worse, b/c he had no confidence that it would come true.

First off, these lyrics are wrong, try actually buying the damn cd instead of fucking download it. In the cd book the lyrics are very different.

This song to me is about him finding solace in a girl (or something, he could be personifying) and he just doesnt get the same feeling back from what he gives to her. This breaks him because of how much he needs and wants her

Anyways the meaning of this song is simple, he is in love with a girl pretty much...he finds happiness only when hes around this girl, she's his escape from the depression of his life, I relate to this song alot. I as well am depressed alot, and only way I can get happy is if I am around the one I love...thats my only way of happiness... Put in simple words: He is talking to a girl, asking her not to leave, so that he don't have to experience the pain of reality.

Oh my god! Why are there only 3 comments on this song? It's so beautiful. The meaning is pretty straight forward. And yeah. It's a great song. Very simple but sweet. Awww.

God when I first heard these lines, I was stunned. My feelings exactly. I wanted to kill myself but then I found someone I saw every day who I felt was worth living for.

Ok I think this person is saying he loves someone so much he has changed his mind about killing himself. But maybe she's had a terrible event in her life eg rape and she doesn't want to have sex with him so he feels he needs to get away before he hurts her more.

soren202 could be right about the girl not wanting to date, its validated by the line "I know you're so solo" but I feel something else out of this song.

Basicly, I think it's a song about a guy who's been let down in relationship before, and thus errected fences around himself, preventing him to reach out for love. The guy started from then on to avoid relationship, putting up a front of lies for other to see. This threw the guy in a depression. But this is until he meet a girl who is able to make him wish for better days again.

The girl SEEMS to be available, and maybe a bit alone, depending on how you read the "I know you're so solo, but I can't." The way I read it, he knows she would be up for a relationship, but the barriers he raised around him prevent him from himself making the first steps.

So what he wants, is to be with her, but he just cant bring himself up to it.

I might be wrong about this, its just what I feel about this song,and pretty much every lines with this interpretation.

I’m glad this song isn’t about me. As much as he appears to need this person, she obviously hasn’t brought the singer to a place that would allow him to write happy music. If it were me, I’d rather a feel-good song be written about our love. Something like Here and Now. Or even happier. :)
