Sweet Home Alabama Lyrics
Big wheels keep on turning
Carry me home to see my kin
Singing songs about the Southland
I miss my Alabama one again
And I think it's a sin, yeah
I heard Mr. Young sing about it
I heard Ol' Neil put her down
I hope Neil Young will remember
A southern man don't need him around anyhow
[chorus]
Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you
In Birmingham they love the governor
Now we all did what we could do
Watergate does not bother me
Does your conscience bother you?
Now tell the truth
[chorus]
Y'all gotta be from down here
To get along just fine
Being southern is a state of mind
[chorus] (2x)
Carry me home to see my kin
Singing songs about the Southland
I miss my Alabama one again
And I think it's a sin, yeah
I heard Ol' Neil put her down
I hope Neil Young will remember
A southern man don't need him around anyhow
Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you
Now we all did what we could do
Watergate does not bother me
Does your conscience bother you?
Now tell the truth
To get along just fine
Being southern is a state of mind

the song sung by jewel blows... because it is a classic and she messed it up.. look to lynyrd skynyrd lyrics and you will see why.
Ahh, I like Jewel, but my god... Her remake of that song was abosutely terrible.
i like this one a little.. i like the music, but the classic version is HANDS-DOWN the better one!
If I had to choose an artist to cover that song, I think Jewel would really be one of the last ones I even thought of.
