Down Lyrics

down, fell by the wayside
no getting out
oh down, cry me a river
dried up and dammed
the names can be changed
but the place is still the same
i am loaded, told that alls for naught
holds me down
rise, life is in motion
i'm stuck in line
oh rise, you can't be neutral
on a moving train
one day the symptoms fade
think i'll throw these pills away
and if hope could grow from dirt like me
it can be done
won't let the light escape from me
won't let the darkness swallow me
yeah!

This song is actually dabbles in Mike McCready past. If none of you know, Mike had some trouble in the past with drugs and alcohol "think i'll throw these pills away", but is fully clean now. This song is about overcoming the dark road he once followed "won't let the light escape from me, won't let the darkness swallow me..." another pj great rock on guys

God Bless everything Howard Zinn...

The wealth of the nation, doled out carefully where children need free milk, is drained for billion-dollar aircraft carriers. . . The fear and anger of the majority [turned] toward a class of criminals bred - by economic inequality - faster than they can be put away, deflecting attention away from the huge theft of natural resources carried out within the law by men in executive offices. -- Howard Zinn, A People's History of the U.S.
