Um...I'll stick to Swiss Army, Places You Have Come And So Impossible...new Dashboard leaves alot to be said...
I love Dashboard, but I think this new stuff is kind of...umm...suck. He's trying to write about being drunk and lonely in a bar and he should just leave that kind of stuff to experts, like Alkaline Trio.
i like the acoustic version better. the one with the band sounds like a country round up or something.
I heard then play it live at Jannus Landing on the 2nd and he said "don't worry, this isn't what the new record is gonna sound like... but it's fun..." so quit your bitchin' about how you think it sucks. I think it's great.
Just listened to this for the first time, my brother and I decided that it sounds like Chris was listening to a lot of Bob Dylan recently. I'm not too sure how I feel about this one...but I'll take it!
i think that's an insult to bob dylan. it's a catchy song, but there is something in the lyrics that just don't appeal anymore. mr big shot mtv seems to be undergoing some changes.
and don't tell people to 'quit their bitchin' ' about how they think it sucks. no body here has told you to stuff it about how you think it's great. so chill.
while i really like DC, but i REALLY hope that Chris is right in saying that all of their new songs don't sound like this- in a way i like it, but mostly it sounds like a country song. i don't mind a little bit of this but i don't think i would like very much. :-)
i love this song so much, its so fun! At the show in worcester ma yesterday, when they played it i couldnt stop smiling/laughing. chris enjoyed this thoroughly. :) yay.
all i have to say is i was COMPLETELY relieved when chris said at the concert that this song was not an example of what the rest of his music will be like. that made me happy!
