I can't believe no one posted on this but then again it seems like a no brainer. Anyway, I think it's about missing someone who's far away. I don't have a significant other but this makes me think of someone I have a crush on who went to my high school and is in college in a faraway state.
Personally it refers to my daughter in Cali or James was missing some one. I Hope it is not referring to past drug use
