its talking about depression, im guessing i could be wrong.
i think its about a period of continual loss and not getting the chance to live it up much... just waiting to be the happy person you know that you can be. Waiting for all the odds to come over to your side.

this song makes me feel like it's ok to be sad when i hear it while i'm really depressed. it's consolation and an intangible embrace.
Great song, yeah i look at it as being depressed and you feel as you have no hope, looking for some help like he says at the end "you might as well finish me" yeha anyway great song :D
Sensational song, written by one of my favourite bands. It doesn't get much better than this.
I think it's about being so depressed that you want to commit suicide. Like you feel as if your never going to be happy again so you might as well end your life. This song reminds me of how I felt when I go through bouts of depression.
