Q&A
Earth Angel Lyrics
Earth angel, earth angel
Will you be mine?
My darling dear
Love you all the time
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you
Earth angel, earth angel
The one I adore
Love you forever and ever more
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you
I fell for you and I knew
The vision of your love-loveliness
I hoped and I pray that someday
I'll be the vision of your hap-happiness
Earth angel, earth angel
Please be mine
My darling dear
Love you all the time
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you
I fell for you and I knew
The vision of your love-loveliness
I hope and pray that someday
That I'll be the vision of your happiness
Earth angel, earth angel
Please be mine
My darling dear
Love you all the time
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you
Will you be mine?
My darling dear
Love you all the time
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you
The one I adore
Love you forever and ever more
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you
The vision of your love-loveliness
I hoped and I pray that someday
I'll be the vision of your hap-happiness
Please be mine
My darling dear
Love you all the time
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you
The vision of your love-loveliness
I hope and pray that someday
That I'll be the vision of your happiness
Please be mine
My darling dear
Love you all the time
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you

My daddy chose this song for us to dance to at my sweet 16...
=) It was a heck of a lot more original then Butterfly Kisses...that's for sure.
I have a copy of this song on my computer, but I have not been able to find any record of him recording it anywhere--not on Amazon, not on CDDB, not anywhere I can find on Google. Any thoughts?
butterboy, you should try looking at 50's-60's compilations. That's where I got mine. My cousin has a CD of the Sha-Na-Na's and they did a cover of this song.
Relatively useless information.........
Funny little story to go with this... Originally, when The Penguins first released this on shellac 10" the A side was not as you would expect, Earth Angel but the lesser know track Hey Seniorita... It was only when radio DJ's started playing the B side Earth Angel more often that subsequent 7" pressings in 1955 had the A and B sides swapped so Earth Angel was now the A side.
