Disorder And Disarray Lyrics
Bussiness man, come shake my hand, show me numbers that I understand
Your my candle, I'm your burnin' wick
Two sides comin' in quick
Say goodbye when you see me sign
Now I'm crucified
Crucify me
Crucify me
Crucify me
The ground is fertile and the grass is green
So many things to be seen, so many bands to be heard
Just for once can I be ignored
Say goodbye when you see me sign
Now I'm crucified
Crucify me
Crucify me
Crucify me
Ace man, cool, I say
Gonna get away
No, no, no reason for me to stay
But I come back another day
Get on my buses
Got no money
Driver said: "That ain't enough, man."
I say: "What the fuck you talking about?"
Say goodbye when you see me sign
Now I'm crucified
Crucify me
Crucify me
Crucify me
Your my candle, I'm your burnin' wick
Two sides comin' in quick
Now I'm crucified
Crucify me
Crucify me
Crucify me
So many things to be seen, so many bands to be heard
Just for once can I be ignored
Now I'm crucified
Crucify me
Crucify me
Crucify me
Gonna get away
No, no, no reason for me to stay
But I come back another day
Get on my buses
Got no money
Driver said: "That ain't enough, man."
I say: "What the fuck you talking about?"
Now I'm crucified
Crucify me
Crucify me
Crucify me

Lyric Correction: Ace man, cool, I say Gonna get away No, no, no reason for me to stay But I come back another day Get on the bus and And got out the money Driver said "that aint enough man" I say "what the fuck you talking 'bout"
This song is about 'selling out'. Basically, Rancid saw first hand some of the record companies' games, and they knew the price. 2 sides coming in quick is reference to the two sides of the argument, 1 is sell out, the other is doing the same thing but getting more cash for it. Obviously, on an aside, Rancid was going to Epic records, the same record company as the clash, probably because it would hold a little more 'punk' credability. The 2nd verse is about how either way, he got famouse, and he wants to duck out.
People often cite this song when trying to argue that Rancid contradicted themselves by selling out, but the section of the song about the bus fare I think is Tim trying to say that he neeeds more money, and "Oh, what the papers say, caught up in disarray" refers to the fans putting Rancid down and thinking that they've sold out,
i love this song it makes happier than i am its awsome!!!!!! its a really good song especialy when it is really really loud!
i love this part the most
Ace man, cool, I say Gonna get away No, no, no reason for me to stay But I come back another day Get on my buses Got no money Try to say: "that ain't enough man" I say: "What the fuck are you talking about"
Whoa, yeah, I guess Rancid sold out, but so did The Clash in a way. And Rancid STILL isn't, like, extremely well known. Anyway, this song is really cool because it's really catchy and a little pop-ish sounding but totally kick ass
this song is just great. i really dont like the term selling out. just because rancid switched companies because it made it easier and more accesible for fans to get records and to see them live etc doesnt mean that they "sold out". so they can make a bit more money from doing it. wouldnt most of us choose that option?
anyway, i love this song so much and i like its message so much that im getting "disorder" and "disarray" tatooed on the inside of each of my wrists.
mm rancid are good...
Yeah, he definitely says, "Driver said I didn't have enough"
is the part "Ace man, cool, I say Gonna get away No, no, no reason for me to stay But I come back another day Get on my buses Got no money Try to say: "Enough of me" I say: "What the fuck are you talking about" even right cause i have the cd and its not in the lyrics
