Mother's Prayer Lyrics
I wonder if, you're alone up there,
Since you've been gone, I've been alone down here,
She told me that, I would be OK,
Now I don't believe what she had to say when she said . . .
CHORUS:
Don't worry and you'll be fine,
It's only a matter, a matter of time,
As she sits back and finishes her wine,
She prays to the Lord I'll be fine.
Now days have past, and weeks have too,
All I think about, is how I miss you,
She told me that, I would be OK,
But I feel the same, that I felt that day when she said . . .
CHORUS:
Don't worry and you'll be fine,
It's only a matter, a matter of time,
As she sits back and finishes her wine,
She prays to the Lord I'll be fine.
He don't know, what he has done,
Mother prays to the Lord above, Lord please save my sons,
He don't know, what he has done,
Mother prays to the Lord above, Lord please save my sons,
CHORUS:
Don't worry and you'll be fine,
It's only a matter, a matter of time,
As she sits back and finishes her wine,
She prays to the Lord I'll be fine.

I love this song and I think it just means that mothers do care while were out running theu're at home hoping they'll see us again.
anyone else think maybe this song pertains to death? the loss of a loved one.
i think this song is about his mom dying and he's singing about what she used to do and he's remembering her fondly and missing her.
call it what you want, but i actaully had tears when they played this song at the show.
I love Mest!!! But this song is just too f***ing slow, and the lyrics are crapp... sorry dudes.
This isnt sbout his mother dying. At the show, I think he said that its just for anyone who lost someone, not his own mom. He also dedicated it to one of his freinds who died in a car crash a few days before the show.
I think "Finch Rocks" is a little dense...I agree with fersheezy, and anyone else for that matter, who agrees that it pertains death, more specifically his mother dying. "Its only a matter, a matter of time" til he sees her again, I think. And to the person who said it's too slow and the lyrics sucks is gay. So is the guy with the name "Rufiosux"...he "sux"....
I just downloaded this song, its good, i think it does have to do with someone dieing.
wow, The1AndOnlyJanelle, did you just come in here to be an ass? The song can have a different meaning for different listeners. Don't judge people based on what they like, it's what they like. You don't have to, and you can also lay off. I think this song definitely pertains to the death of a loved one, particularly the lyricists mother, but it can apply to anyone who was loved and lost. It's wonderful lyrically and melodically, and while a lot of Mest is better fast, this song is accentuated by it's slow tempo. That's my opinion. Later.
Tony's mom did not die!!!
