About a guy who seems to hate himself.
As for some other posts here..... Elitist Tool fans. Typical.
"I'm a Tool fan. I listen to the same five bands over and over again. I contribute nothing to my current or local music scene because what's the point? It wouldn't be as good as tool, and every other band sucks because they don't sound as good as tool but i'll rip all over one that does in any way. I refuse to listen to songs under 4 minutes, with 4/4 time, or lyrics i can pronounce. Because I listen to a very intelligent group of musicians, so that must mean that I'm intelligent too!!! Never mind the fact the musical complexity is outside my comprehension, or that i never really will get the lyrics i CAN understand, but i'll act like i do to everyone else. If i find a band that's remarkably simpler than Tool i'll criticize them at every possible opportunity. If God...i mean, Maynard voices an opinion on something I'll automatically agree with everything he says because I'm an intelligent person who has opened his mind. I love Tool!!!!!"
i wish i was here to post this sooner.
LOL. I love Tool, but this post is too true about half of their fans.

To me, this song is the perfect White Stripes song. It is the distillation of their already distilled blues rock. I think many people on this post struggle with the idea that music can have meaning far beyond the lyrics.
The White Stripes often challenge listeners to rethink popular music and this song is a keystone in that effort. This song is an advocate for stripped down, no frills blues driven rock. It's an advocate for the power of guitar, drums and vocals as compositional elements. This song is a fearless tribute to that uncompromising vision.
This song has much less to do with someones face or desire to see said face, and more to do with Jacks vision of what rock music is and should be. You might not hear this in this song. If you don't, that's OK. I'm through trying to convert people into White Stripes fans. It just isn't for everybody.
hmm.
hey....it's short and sweet and to the point...the guy doesn't like how he sees himself and he's letting y'all know.
intersting...lol ::sits in a daze::
Sounds like tool is not the lyrics he needs to read. Saviour Machine is more like it.
oh .. . . and i missed saying that . . TOOL SUCKS ! !!!! ! ! ! !
obviously none of you really appreciate music because if you did you would realize how while the lyrics are pretty fucking simple (i'm not gonna try to say they're deep) that the guitar is awesome and when you put it all together out comes... an amazing song. there is more to a song other than it's lyrics. listen to some frank zappa or dave grisman - no lyrics necessary but still you can understand it.
It's good to see someone who else around here who enjoy artists like Dave Grisman and Frank Zappa.
jesus, are the first ten posts on here sarcastic or what?
i really like this song. It expresses no self esteem at all and has nice guitar work. It's not really deep, its to the point. you want deep, listen to "Do"
