this song was played today at the funeral of the three days young baby of my boss and a colleague. the baby had problems with her heart and they had to pull the plug (tomorrow you`ll be gone. it gives me time to stay), because she was to young to be able to even survive an operation and without it she would not survive either (t stay awake and watch you fly, away into the night, escaping through a dream). this song tells exactly what they felt the moment they knew they would lose the baby (i wish by god you'd stay)

i love this song......a friend played it for me and i fell in love with this song.....it is the best Saybia song out there.....this danish band kicks ass!!!

This is definitely a highlight from this album. I think the meaning is pretty straightforward, lying there watching your girl (or guy) fall asleep, thinking how beautiful they are. I don't quite get what he means by her being gone the next day, maybe it is just literally that she'll be leaving before he wakes? I don't know, love the song though

my view is, duh, about love. (why is it that every song out there seems to be about love? at least to me?) Maybe about a relationship where both people realise it isn't going anywhere, despite that they still love each other, but as adults, have decided to take different paths in life. It's their last night together, and the singer wants to take it in as much as possible... Even though it's for the best, i wish by god you'd stay...

I used to really love this song, they played it on the radio everyday and I always waited it for it! back then I didn't have internet so I couldn't download it! The way I see it, this is about being really inlove with someone that's not open and keeps her (or his) feelings inside. It could be about a goodbye, their last night toether, etc. The way I saw it back then... it's not their last night together but it's a situation that repeats itself, she closes her eyes and remains closed to him, she turns around and never "stays" with him, which makes him feel alone, even though she's right bisde him. So he wishes that for once she wouldn't keep her feelings inside and she would allow herself to be vulnerable, and accept what she feels for him or whatever, and really "be" with him. And the "tomorrow you'll be gone" part could be that she leaves before he wakes up, as always, so he stays awake whishing she wouldn't... or it could be just about saying goodbye to someone, whether it's a break up or they're in a long distance relationship so she has to go the next day.

I think it clearly represents being at the euthanasia of someone you love
