Convalescent Lyrics
This lonely old man at heart
Resting grey hairs
On wrinkled arms with nothing but
A stool to hold up his back
Skinny legs with japanese mileage
Crossed at the ankles
He's unaware
Maybe you've never seen it
Maybe you've never been through it
It's the only way to understand it
Unaware of his surroundings
You'd think past swarming
Like wolves through a fresh kill
The scented tracks
He's just scared
About dying
Maybe you've never seen it
Maybe you've never been through it
It's the only way to understand it
Save your clever statements
Brave yourself if you want in
It's the only way to understand it
To believe that
To think that
To believe that
Those sad days have come to an end
Where are those..
Where all have they gone
Maybe you've never seen it
Maybe you've never been through it
It's the only way to understand it
Save your clever statements
Brave yourself if you want in
It's the only way to understand it
To understand it
Resting grey hairs
On wrinkled arms with nothing but
A stool to hold up his back

Crossed at the ankles

the first line is "the lonely old man at law" i think, not sure though
gavin said this song was about dying, and thinking a lot about dying and coming to conclusions at the time of death.
It Says "This lonely old man at heart" then "youth it passed, starving, like wolves to a fresh kill"
Does anyone else think that he sounds like Keith Caputo? I can help it but whenever I listen to the song i think that it could also be a life of agony song...
But who cares, it´s a great one though...
