This song (originally a Pink Floyd song) is about completing the "wall." The wall is a metaphor for hiding from your emotions by building a wall around you, the wall is something we all have build around ourselves at one time or another to hide from our problems and emotions, but we almost always tear it down and face our emotions in one way or another. In the movie Pink Floyd the Wall, Pink builds a permanent wall around himself, to shield himself from the pains of loosing his father during World War II (I think), his mother always protecting him, his wife leaving him, and other various problems he faced in his life time. The wall will break you down and destroy you eventually.
