This song is so good, it's definitely one of Jeff's more underated songs.

This song is amazing. According to Jeff, it's about all the sh*ty moments between friends sometimes.

Total agreeance here. Jeffery Mangum astounds me. The lyrics are wrong however. they're fine until the third verse. It isn't "But i will secure myself in blue, and get this disease that you embrace". The correct lyrics are, "But I will secure myself and blow, against this disease that you embrace"... its been a pleasure.

not to be a dick, but you totally stopped trying to get the lyrics right starting somewhere in the middle. haha. at the end of verse three its "embrace, and waste away."... As for the fourth verse, "empty artics flow"???... "empty hearts explode". or eyes. could be eyes. THANKS. ha.

Ideulogy is definitely right. The ly4rics above make no sense, and it pisses me off. We should be able to change these, dammit. (It is almost certainly 'hearts' by the way).

Also, there are some small-but-obvious things that are wrong; you leave out 'and' a lot, which is fine, but then why include it in the second verse? Also, it's "some things YOU can't know". Sorry if I sound pedantic, but on the other hand I'd get pissed if I read lyrics to 'All Along HIS Watchtower', or 'I WAS The Walrus' - different words shape meaning

The lyrics are a lot easier to pick out if you're listening through headphones. =P I hadn't noticed a few of these mistakes until recently.. but yeah, the last three posters are right, as far as I can tell. Full complete lyrics, as far as I have them. Corrections welcome:

I think PureSophist has it right. As for the line you "You watch as their empty eyes [hearts?] explode," I'm pretty positive it is 'hearts.'

Jeff says on the recording that it's about sh*tty moments between friends. So, yeah, basically what everyone else said.
