Where Have All The Good People Gone Lyrics

All the Milky Way, has gone a little sour
The leaves dried and the flower fell away.
I've been sitting, waiting for a sign
Inhuman beings taking up all of my time.

*Chorus*
Wanna leave but I gotta stay
And, I'm wondering more everyday
Montreal to Hong Kong, where have all the good people gone.
Traffic jam but I'm on the shoulder
Took ten cops to pull me over
Bangkok to Babylon, where have all the good people gone.

Haven't made a friend in a long, long while
Don't change my head but they, they change my style.
The modern world, is a cold, cold world
And all I need are, cold, cold girls.

*Chorus*

All the Milky Way, has gone a little sour
The leaves dried and flower fell away.

*Chorus*

Wanna leave but I gotta stay
And, I'm wondering more everyday
Montreal to Hong Kong, where have all the good people gone.
Traffic jam but I'm on the shoulder
Took ten cops to pull me over
Times up and we're running long, where have all the good people gone.

This song ROCKS (but the new radio edit sucks). Guitar licks are groovin. More people need to post lyrics to his other songs!

Sam Roberts is an awesome artist and a fellow Canadian. :) I love this style of music. This song is pretty thought provoking, it makes you wonder what the world is coming to.

Okay, first of all, Sam Roberts is my hero and one day I will track him down and make him my bride, if you will. To me this song is about not relating to society these days, and wondering what the world has come to when you feel so alone in a world full of people. I relate completely, sometimes ten years older than my friends, sometimes I feel like a complete alien.

I think a more obvious meaning to this song would be wondering what society has come to, not necessarily feeling why you don't belong. Maybe Sam Roberts is wondering why the world isn't like him, not why he's not like the world, if that makes any sense whatsoever.

Well his new album Vancouver is named after his hometown. And the other day on the radio they were saying how this album and all his songs are written about his hometown and most songs are written about him growing up. and his feelings and emotions growing up. his childhood and teen years.

I...what? That's Matt Good you're talking about, haha. He's the one that did an album named Vancouver, about his hometown, not Sam Roberts... Sam's from Montreal!
