Patterns In The Ivy Lyrics
Without you I can not confide in anything
(the hope is pale the sign in light of dreams you bring)
Summer's gone, the day is dark, soon comes the night
Biding time leaving the light out of sight
One lonely shadow on the wall
Disrupting endings of creation
By letting the darkness of us fall
Is this the end, a manifestation
It runs in me, a poison seething in my veins
My skin is (sold and stained) by late september rains
A final word for me would be the first for you
The rest is long but i'll go on and silent through
One lonely shadow on the wall
Disrupting endings of creation
By letting the darkness of us fall
Is this the end, a manifestation

That's "Patterns In The Ivy 2"... the first "Patterns In The Ivy" is an instrumental... at least, as far as I can remember.
Yes, there are no lyrics to part one of Patterns of the Ivy
Yeh, no lyrics. But this is one of my favorite songs. The acoustic is great and the piano is beautiful.
P I T I is about a guy who is playing the guitar
Part two, has to have the saddest, most sombre solo at the end. It almost makes you want to cry at it's beauty. Opeth are pretty well known for their beautiful, obscure songs, and this is certainly no exception.
i dunno what this song really is a bout kind of like poetry is a story and is being told throught the ivy i dunno very good song tho, kinda shocked wen u listen to it the first couple times it seems liek a very long song i was shocked to see only aorund four minutes still very good song i listen to it eveyrday
it's like walking down the campus of Ivy League. In universities, it's usually quiet and the acoustic guitar portrays that nicely. The patterns in the ivy is that universities would lead to the real world, while at the same time feels isolated from the real world.
