A Pillar Of Salt (The Death Song) Lyrics
I remember reading the story and thanking God that I wasn't there. While you all indulged in your ungodly pleasures the angels rained down sulfer that day. I remember the smell of burning flesh as salt passed through my hands. I thank God I wasn't there.
When you hear the angels cry you will feel the heat.
You were warned.

hahahaha - awesomeness. I love it. If you like this check out the lyrics for Saviour Machine.
oh, and as for the meaning - it looks like part of the tribulation to me. Hence the "I thank God I wasn't there" cause he had already been raptured. Sounds like one of the trumpets to me, but I would have to read check with ye old Bible to make sure.
The tears that I cry, That no one should ever die. Angel of black put away never to see another someday. Sunshine and hearts of bliss. Things should have never got to this. But here we are. Buckle up when you drive your car.
