This is about one taking a stand and not waiting around to be rescued by a 'hero.' Its almost as if all hope is gone.
Some people say that love is all we need to be happy and peaceful. A lot of the times, love has a positive connotation but there is so much awful crap that comes of it, too.
Love brings up so much unhappiness, pain, and violence. When one gives up hope, one tends to look at the negative side of everything. Then again, one can be a hero to someone and show them that sometimes love can be a beautiful thing. It works both ways.This is actually not a very postive song... lol.
It's pretty much about Spiderman through the whole song. Though it could you can fit any "hero" into the song, and it will fit perfectly.
