Crossing Thy Bridge Lyrics
I've lived one hell of a life
If your to take it to tight.
I've lived the life of a king.
But so much to darken my life.
Looking 360 Degrees
200,000 Deased
How can I lay back and chill
so many down on their Knees
But then again who am I
I'm just some typical guy
I ain't no fuckin hero
I've just been wondering why
I've seen some children crossing thy bridge
whut kind of life did they get to live
whut kind of choice do they get to make
whut if and why was it a childs mistake
I never question the book
but lets say I live by the book
I'd never eat meat on Tuesdays
How much bigger would my wings look
I try to pray everyday
but sometimes get lost on the way
I've seen the holiest spirt
so much to mislead the way
I've gave the visions I got
I've been told I'm gonna a rot
inside the devils intestines
I'm still here holding my spot
I've just been wondering why
I've just been wondering why
why why why...
I've seen some children crossing thy bridge
whut kind of life did they get to live
whut kind of choice do they get to make
whut if and why was it a childs mistake
come on and open up your door
(swell and let the spirt hit the floor)?
come on and open up your door
(swell and let the spirt hit the floor)?
(repeated till end...)
I've seen some children crossing thy bridge
whut kind of life did they get to live
whut kind of choice do they get to make
whut if and why was it a childs mistake

this shit right here is just beautiful... now I dont know if anybody feels me on this, but this song touches me for real... the sixth is here.
This song is fuckin great.. ICP is freakin awesome!
This song is very meaning full. Read between the lines and you'll get it. I'm glad that I am not one of those children...although I was close a couple years ago through attempted suicide.
im pretty sure this song isnt about kids like that.
more about kids who die young because of poverty and stuff like that.
They're saying how it's not fair that innocent souls (children) have to "cross thy bridge" a.k.a move on to the next afterlife, or next life, whichever you believe in. "what kind of lives did they get to live" They didn't get to fulfill their lives and were taken too soon, and "take me instead" says it for itself. -Mal-
Yeah it's probably not meant about suicide. Although, it's how you choose to interpret the song, and if the song speaks to Twiztid-Juggalette as suicidal children, then so be it. As long as it makes sense to her. -Mal-
I agree with Hatchette36. What caught me was the "What kind of lives DID they get to live", which is past tense, meaning they're done with the life...the children are crossing the bridge into the afterlife, and without a choice where they get to go or if they even know where they're going (Heaven or Hell) because of their youth. In the first verse however, it's not Deased, it's Diseased...so it may be referring to children struck with some kind of incurable disease who haven't been given a choice to live the way they wished to. They're all down on their knees praying for God to heal them. I think Violent J is more or less saying this is what he sees, and he prays as well and tries to stick to the book, but it's hard when you see prayers that are more heavier than yours not being answered (the sick childrens' prayers) and so he gets lost on the way of "righteousness" because it won't even answer children.
great song indeed
dude theres so many errors on this
