yeh the guy who wrote this wrote it for his son...his wife moved to paris and took their son becoz she found a new boyfriend....he wrote this for him and since his son was 3 ( he is now 9) he plays this song everynite b4 he goes to bed...its so sad but the song makes sence to me now.....i think its horrible that a mother can do that to a child all becoz of selfish reasons

This song was written by a father for his sons as a lullabye. It is an amazing written song and the Chicks do an aweson job singing it.

This song brings me near to tears every time I heard it. My brother died about two years ago, at age 26. This song reminds me of how my parents must feel, having lost a son. Not entirely sure of the lyrical relevancy, but this song really hits home. :-(

this song is absolutely amazing

it gives me shivers down my spine when she sings, 'god hears amen wherever you are', i think that the father is simply telling his son - even though you are far away i send my love to you and when you don't feel like i'm there and that you're a lone remember that god is there
