I agree with simplethings about the world wide message. The comments about war reinforce the idea that love in general is necesary to repair a relationship, but also society. I really love this song, i think both the lyrics and the message are absolutely beautiful. If there's ever an answer, it's more love :)
To me personally... I think it's about a relationship where their not talking enough about their feelings and thoughts and any worries they may have in relationship or worries in general.
and it's also talking about trying hold on to what they have and possibly fixing it because she wants to stay together with him because he means the world to her.
I think it is about a relationship, but it is also about the wider world as a whole. That we all need a little more love within our homes, our lives and the world.
