Help! (The Beatles cover) Lyrics
Help, I need somebody,
Help, not just anybody,
Help, you know I need someone, help.
When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured,
Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me.
And now my life has changed in oh so many ways,
My independence seems to vanish in the haze.
But every now and then I feel so insecure,
I know that I just need you like I've never done before.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me.
When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these daya are gone, I'm not so self assured,
Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me, help me, help me, oh.
Help, not just anybody,
Help, you know I need someone, help.
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured,
Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me.
My independence seems to vanish in the haze.
But every now and then I feel so insecure,
I know that I just need you like I've never done before.

But now these daya are gone, I'm not so self assured,
Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me, help me, help me, oh.
In a scary world of crappy Beatles covers, I have to hand it to Oasis on this one. They've managed to capture all the emotion of the song. The Beatles gave the song the peppy feel that carried throughout their songs at the time, but Oasis dragged it down to the depths of darkness that the lyrics suggest.
I prefer the Beatles on this one...
when i heard this on the bootleg noel brings out so much emotion to the song and it's slowed dwn as well, i like this version better
John Lennon never wanted Help! to be what it was, a fast-paced 2 minute single. If you listen to the lyrics, they're alot darker and emotional than the original recording makes it out to be. Trust me, this is closer to what John Lennon would have wanted it to sound.
