I Think I See The Light Lyrics
I used to trust nobody, trusting even less their words,
until I found somebody, there was no one I preferred,
my heart was made of stone, my eyes saw only misty grey,
Until you came into my life girl, I saw everyone that way.
Until I found the one I needed at my side,
I think I would have been a sad man all my life.
I think I see the light coming to me,
coming through me giving me a second sight.
So shine, shine, shine,
shine, shine, shine,
shine, shine, shine.
I used to walk alone, every step seemed the same.
This world was not my home, so there was nothing much to gain.
Look up and see the clouds, look down and see the cold floor.
Until you came into my life girl, I saw nothing, nothing more.
Until I found the one I needed at my side,
I think I would have been a sad man all my life.
I think I see the light coming to me,
coming through me giving me a second sight.
So shine, shine, shine,
shine, shine, shine,
shine, shine, shine.
until I found somebody, there was no one I preferred,
my heart was made of stone, my eyes saw only misty grey,
Until you came into my life girl, I saw everyone that way.
Until I found the one I needed at my side,
I think I would have been a sad man all my life.
coming through me giving me a second sight.
So shine, shine, shine,
shine, shine, shine,
shine, shine, shine.
This world was not my home, so there was nothing much to gain.
Look up and see the clouds, look down and see the cold floor.
Until you came into my life girl, I saw nothing, nothing more.
Until I found the one I needed at my side,
I think I would have been a sad man all my life.
coming through me giving me a second sight.
So shine, shine, shine,
shine, shine, shine,
shine, shine, shine.

no one's posted about this song??? has no one seen harold and maude?? this song is so inspiring, so romantic, and such a trademark of that movie. i can't hear it without thinking of bud cort with his brown corduroy jackets and big seventies scarves walking up to maude's door. it's definently a song of the generation, and really a classic and a great introduction to the brilliance that is cat stevens.
i totally know what you mean about the harold and maude thing. i just picture harold's smirks. these songs added so much to the movie.
Every time I hear this song I remember Harold's grin. Then I remember his mom's reaction and the way he acts when he notices it. Genius film. Genius song.
Yes cat stevens definetly added so much to Harold and Maude. I just burned a CD of the compiled soundtrack for my supervisor and he fell in love with cat stevens, but he thinks h&m is a weird movie. anytime I hear any of the songs on the movie I can picture the scenes. my favorite movie ever.
