This is an unknown wonder. Dennis Wilson is fabulous
He misses someone who is gone and is filled with regret, but he's embracing the memories he has. I don't think Dennis wrote songs from imaginaton but directly from the heart.
I believe this song was writen just after Dennis Wilson & Karen Lamm split up. I read an interview he did a year or so before he died and he said most of the songs were writen about her. Like you say, he only wrote his songs from the heart and thats what makes it a great album - His words and voice bring you deep into each story.
