Samian Night Lyrics
When the moon on a cloud cast night
Hung above the tree tops' height
You sang me of some distant past
That made my heart beat strong and fast
Now I know I'm home at last
You offered me an eagle's wing
That to the sun I might soar and sing
And if I heard the owl's cry
Into the forest I would fly
And in its darkness find you by.
And so our love's not a simple thing
Nor our truths unwavering
But like the moon's pull on the tide
Our fingers touch our hearts collide
I'll be a moonsbreath by your side
Hung above the tree tops' height
You sang me of some distant past
That made my heart beat strong and fast
Now I know I'm home at last
That to the sun I might soar and sing
And if I heard the owl's cry
Into the forest I would fly
And in its darkness find you by.
Nor our truths unwavering
But like the moon's pull on the tide
Our fingers touch our hearts collide
I'll be a moonsbreath by your side

The correct spelling is "Samhain". It's pronounced "sow-ane" and is the Pagan version of Halloween.
There is not exactly a pagan version of Halloween, it's already a pagan holiday. One of the few holidays the christianity has nto attempted a hostile takeover of, it has jsut been softened up a bit.
Wow, sorry for the typos, guess it's late.
The fact of you asking the such a question shows you know not your own history (I presume you are mr/mrs Christan?). Read books written by someone other than people with an agenda to hide what early Christians had done to promote the "one true god".
i love loreena's work... so beautiful... i listen to it when i'm going to sleep, when i'm meditating, and during rituals. this song especially.
i wouldn't say they have taken over holidays in a hostile way... they have taken over much in a hostile way, yes, but not really holidays. even though they're extremely hypocritical. they try to shun pagan beliefs and holidays and yet they have borrowed -- or stolen? -- them & just changed them a bit.
but anyways! this is for comments on songs, not a religious battlefield. :P
When have Christians hostily taken over a holiday?
