And You're Wondering How A Top Floor Could Replace Heaven Lyrics

Waving your goodbyes with your plastic hands and century-old arctic kisses. And not a finger lifts till it all turns to shit and you all act like you're impressed. You slouch now even further down as you're wondering how a top floor could replace the heaven you once saw so well. We've built it all we've made our gods now we're locked in ourselves. YEAH! An airbag could save my life, when my lungs collapse from methane gas of melting ICE CAPS, if it was AIRTIGHT and not uptight. So laugh yourself red cause in the end i know you'll choke. (if it was airtight: i know you'd choke)

He does, he repeats it several times: "I'M TIRED, I'M TIRED, I'M TIRED" and my eyes just go blank and wet.

One of the few BEST BANDS EVER.

This song, to me, sounds like a combination of "The Hollowed Out Chest of A Dead Horse," and "A Sonnet To Both Ugly and Murderous" by pg.99, except it has its own completely unique sound at the same time...if that makes any sense. The instrumental build-ups and screaming-to-whispered vocals are very reminscient of both those songs.

And yes, this song does seem to be about global warming, or the destruction of the environment and the authorities in power ignoring it until it's at such a critical state that it can no longer be ignored, but by then it's too late.

I just listened to this song, and then I mean really listened to it, for the first time. Had it on my computer for ages but just listened to parts and didn't like it. now afterwards i can state that it was the biggest mistake I have ever made.

This song means so much to me at the moment, its a perfect reflection of emotions, it is so raw and naked and truthful that it hurts to listen to it, but at the same time I can't stop doing it. It's perfect. The voice matchers perfectly every word spoken, and not only by the sound of it but also the emotions you so clearly here behind every word that is sung.

It's amazing to see this phenomen, that one minute can give me headache and the entire song makes me go all emotional while listening to it. At the moment I'm listening through the rest of CoC's songs since this one brought a whole new meaning of music upon me by both capturing the movements from the classical music and the raw feelings from emocore.

Unbelievable.

Had to make this account just to post this; I definitely think EVERYONE who reads this should give it a shot even if you don't like it at first. It might be worth is.

Holly shit! The ending makes me want to show this song to the world. I can only pitty those who cannot respect and understand the beauty of emocore.

"If it was air tight: I know you'd choke."

One of the many powerful lines in this song.
