The lyrics for this song are generally regarded as being directed at Sisters member Gary Marx, who was considering leaving the band at the time the song was written. He left fairly soon afterwards, so it either worked or backfired completely. ;)

For me its about friendship. If the rain comes, will you stay by me, will you be true friend or you walk... I always thought of it like this, not as a love/relation. But, if it could be understand in one way only, it would be a users manual...
