Where To Begin Lyrics
Sail away, sail away with me
I don't have a ship
But we could get on easily
Drift away, drift away with me
On the raft we'll make of memories
On an ocean we can call forever more
I want to find
A piece of your mind
I want to see
Your make believe
I don't want to try so hard
I make it hard for you to breathe
Jump into the ocean
Living on a notion
If you're caught up in the motion
Back track and do it again
And if you make it up
I could never get enough
Me and you together
But you've gotta tell me where to begin
Break away, break away from me
No forget that, just sit here and look at me
Summer's day
Summer every day
And we watch the sunset come back up
And somehow know it never goes back down
I've been saving up to buy more time
with you
You've been living it up with someone else
And that's ok with me
Because I know it and you know it too
Chorus
I don't have a ship
But we could get on easily
Drift away, drift away with me
On the raft we'll make of memories
On an ocean we can call forever more
A piece of your mind
I want to see
Your make believe
I don't want to try so hard
I make it hard for you to breathe
Living on a notion
If you're caught up in the motion
Back track and do it again
And if you make it up
I could never get enough
Me and you together
But you've gotta tell me where to begin
No forget that, just sit here and look at me
Summer's day
Summer every day
And we watch the sunset come back up
And somehow know it never goes back down
I've been saving up to buy more time
with you
You've been living it up with someone else
And that's ok with me
Because I know it and you know it too

I can't believe no one has commented on this song yet! This song could easily have been written about every single relationship I have. When I first heard it I almost cried!
I can relate to this song sooooo well. Its a great song written and preformed by a great band. BFS 4ever!
i absolutely love this song...not enough people see to be into bowling for csoup..only if it goes on the music charts then they might try to like it...like "girl all the bad guys want"...it was on the music charts and now see how many comments it has...the world is full of followers and bowling for soup and fantastic and original they dont need losers like that listening to their music........I LOVE EM!!!
This song is an honest love song... something i want to play to my boyfriend to make him understand how i feel about him. he'd love it too.... "we watch the sunset come back up And somehow know it never goes back down"
i think this song refers to a relationship ( duh..) where the guy really likes this girl, but everytime he tries to get close, or to learn about her she closes up.. he doesn't know what do because of it.. "I could never get enough Me and you together But you've gotta tell me where to begin"
Tush, I agree with you..sort of.. but what about this part:
"I've been saving up to buy more time with you You've been living it up with someone else And that's ok with me Because I know it and you know it too"
Is that like he really likes the girl, even though she's with someone else?
I just listened to this song for the first time, and it really got me. At first I was just like "Whoa this is cool song" and then at the end of the first chorus when it said "But you've gotta tell me where to begin" I felt it was more than just a cool song and it touched me because I can really relate to it right now.
I think its about a guy who really likes a girl, but she is with another guy. When it says "You've been living it up with someone else And that's ok with me" it means he is fine with that because he's willing to wait and when it says "Because I know it and you know it too" i think it means that she knows she likes him back but she's either scared of how it might end or confused about what to do.
As a side note, the part that says "I've been saving up to buy more time with you You've been living it up with someone else And that's ok with me" I think relates to me the most. It really touched me when I heard that part. lol
I just had a weird thought today - is he actually singing about a stripper? He's been "saving up to buy more time" with her, while she's been "living it up with someone else," because that's how he can see her. He wants to see her "make believe," wants her to "back track and do it again," and he doesn't want to "try so hard it makes it hard for her to breathe" because she's distant and aloof. She can "make it up," but he can never "get enough," and he wants to know where to begin with a real relationship with her rather than paying her for dances at a club. I hope I'm wrong, because I really liked this song until I noticed that!!
